Are You Looking for Yourself Where You Are Not?

Many people spend their lives in ways that do not feel good but they don’t know there is a better way or even what is missing.
They often feel like they should be somewhere else doing something else, and seem lost and overwhelmed with the demands of an over-committed life with a really long to-do list that prevents them from conducting a thorough soul search.

There is a Sufi parable that describes one man’s search in life.
He has lost his keys. So he starts searching for them outside the house in the bright light of day.
The Sufi master walks by and sees him searching, so the Sufi master asks: “What are you looking for?”
The man replied, “I lost my keys inside the house.”
The Sufi master asks, “Why then are you looking for them outside?”
The man says, “Because the light is better out here.”

Unfortunately, that is how many people who are looking “for themselves where they are not.”

People do this when they “suffer from pseudo purpose”–they fall into a job or career path and wonder why they are not happy.  It’s because, the real them is not there!

If you aren’t jumping out of bed to meet the day, feeling great about the work you do, it could be because you aren’t sure of your great life’s purpose.
And if you are not sure, then it is TIME to discover it.

Stop wasting any more time looking outside of “you” for what is Not there.
Look within and you will find the treasure you seek.
