Emotions are guests that can come into your house of peace and disrupt your psyche in an instant!
You know the all too common experience of one minute you are feeling good, the next you are in a tizzy— feeling out of control even. Some people are more emotional than others, but all of us dedicated to our Destiny Path, must learn to master our emotions.
Emotions are an important compass. It is important to note that emotions are not really good or bad, some just “feel better” than others. Most of us would rather feel happy than sad, confident vs insecure, elated instead of disappointed. Yet, every single emotion is simply “energy in motion” directing our creative consciousness. That is why say that we are either creating by default or by design.
We are in design mode when our energy is high-vibed and in Divine Love, then our direction naturally moves towards what we want. We fall into default mode, when we low victim energy, then, we are moving away from our “good intentions.”
A core piece of my work is to identify and integrate the core driving emotions that are causing someone to feel stuck or stagnant.
We start by this transformational process by learning to “welcome them all.”
This Rumi poem is a great illustration of how to start welcoming every emotion as it visits:
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

Be grateful for whatever comes.

Now here is a Self-Coaching process you can use to better manage your feelings:
1. Think of an action you want to take but have not yet taken.
Imagine not doing it, where do you feel this in your body?
Say I am experiencing myself feeling______________. now that you have located where it lives and named it, you can shift it.
2. Give that feeling all the space, energy and love that it requires to grow even larger. Allow yourself to lean into the uncomfortable feeling! Give it your full attention, and go into the center of the feeling, take deep breaths in and out until the feeling dissolves on its own.
3. Use command language: I Now easily release the feeling of (anger, irritation, frustration, etc).
I Now reclaim (confidence, peace, love, balance, etc)
4. Ask yourself, what would I have to believe about myself to have that feeling?
Surface up the limiting belief. And then choose to adopt a new empowering belief.
Continue this simple process until you can think about what you need to do and you feel peaceful and calm.
Remember the conscious breathing is what will move the energy through your body quickly.
Here is an example from a recent client session:
“Mary” was feeling unwanted and that feeling was hanging out in her heart.
She released unwanted reclaimed ‘worthy, wanted and loveable’.
We discovered that her unconscious belief was: I am not worthy of having what I want.
She then changed her thinking about herself to : I am worthy just as I am. What I want also wants me.
Throughout the session, I assisted her emotional shift with energy alignment/Theta Healing work.
Immediately, she felt more open and relaxed. Her ‘holywork’ will be to allow the new energy to direct her life and therefore, create new, more fulfilling results in her reality.
